5-Axis horizontal multi-spindle machining centre for the milling of gas and steam turbine blades.
Areas of Application: turbine blades, jet engine blades and compressor blade machining.
The NX machine is designed as a 5-axis machining centre with 4 simultaneously-driven, horizontally- arranged spindles, stacked one above the other. This concept allows for excellent stock flow and tremendous operator ergonomics, especially for companies with restricted space for installation. Exquisite cutting power on all 4 spindles, the machining centre simply guarantees the horizontal spindles-ability during automatic operation as well as ensuring adequate swarf removal and coolant flow. High rigidity and fast-reacting servo motors ensure that the demands of extreme forces are met and high levels of machining feed speeds are accomplished. When challenged with mid-sized batch numbers and longer component machining time requirements, this multi-spindled machining centre proves especially economically adept.
Diverse hardware and software modules enable an optimal conformance with the individual customer requirements, for example the adaptation and connection of the machine on to a Flexible Manufacturing System (FMS). |
